Once Canvas is connected to Stukent and your Stukent course has been created, the next step will be to add the Stukent tool to your Canvas course.
1. Log in to your Canvas account.
a. Click on the “Courses” tab
b. Click the “Settings” tab in the left navigation
c. Click the “Apps” tab
d. Click the “View App Configuration” button.
2. Select the “+ App” button.
3. In the “Configuration Type” drop down, select “By Client ID” and enter the developer key provided to you by your LMS administrator or IT department then click “Submit”
4. Click “Install” to add the Stukent tool to your course
Once you have completed the previous steps, you will see a “Stukent” link in the Course navigation.
NOTE: You may have to refresh your screen for the “Stukent” link to display.
5. To link your Canvas course to your Stukent course:
a. Click the “Stukent” link in the left-hand navigation. You should see the Stukent course you created displayed. If you do not see your course, click the "Refresh List" button.
Note: Stukent courses that include any enrollments are not eligible for linking and will not be displayed.
b. Once you have located the course you would like to link, click the "View Products" link to review any products that you would like to generate assignments for during the link process.
Note: assignments for course products can only be generated for newly
linked courses and cannot be triggered again after the course has been linked
c. Select the products you would like assignments generated for. Assignments and gradebook line items will only be generated for the selected products
d. Once you have selected all products for assignment generation click the "Link Course" button to complete the linking process
6. Once the course is linked, you will be able to launch to Stukent directly from your Canvas course by clicking the “Open Stukent” button
Roster Synchronization
Any students that join your course roster in your LMS will be synced into the Stukent course you created when they first launch the Stukent tool from the LMS. You will be able to see them in your Stukent instructor portal.
If you ever need to sync your course roster due to students joining your course late or leaving your course, you can simply click the “Sync Roster” button.
