Installing Global Protect on Mac

1. Go to globalprotect.astate.edu

2. Sign in with your A-State email address and password and then approve Duo.

3. Select Download Mac 32/64 bit GlobalProtect agent

4. Run installer (images below include the steps you will go through in order to install the application. 

5. Make sure the Open with Installer (default) option is selected and then click OK.

6. Click Continue.

7. Make sure the Macintosh HD disk is selected and then click Continue.

8. Make sure the Global Protect option is selected and then click Continue.

9. Click Install.

10. Once you go through these 5 steps and the Download is complete, Global Protect will be successfully installed on your device. You can click Close.

11. A window like the image below will pop up, you can click Move to Trash.

Installing Global Protect On Windows

1. Go to globalprotect.astate.edu

2. Sign in with your A-State email address and password and then approve Duo.

3. Select Download Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent

4. Run installer file and then click Next.

5.  Click Next.

6. Once you do this, a window will pop up and ask if you if you want to allow this app to make changes to your computer. Click  Yes. And then click Close to complete the installation.

Using Global Protect 

1. Open Global Protect by clicking on the globe icon at the top right of your screen for Mac. Type in Global Protect in your search bar on the bottom left of your screen and click on the application for Windows. The application will look like the second picture below.

2. Enter the portal address globalprotect.astate.edu

3. Sign in using your AState login and then approve Duo. 

4. Open Global Protect and make sure that it says Connected.

5. To stop using Global Protect, click the Disconnect button like in the image above.
