Connecting to AstateSecure
AState Secure is the Wi-Fi network you will need to use while on campus. You can log in with your A-State email address and password.
1. Go to the Settings on your device and open it.
2. Scroll until you see Network and Internet and click on it.
3. Click on Wi-Fi.
4. Click on AstateSecure.
5. For the EAP Method, you will need to select PEAP.
6. For the Phase 2 Authentication, you will need to select MSCHAPV2.
7. Enter your A-State email address under Identity and your A-State password under Password. Leave the Anonymous Identity field blank.
8. For Certificates, you will need to select Do Not Validate or Do Not Check
9. If prompted for the domain, you will enter astate.edu
10. Then click Connect.
Forgetting a Wi-Fi Network
Forgetting the network is a good way to troubleshoot any Wi-Fi issues you may be experiencing. Go through these steps to see if you can self solve your issues!
1. Go to the Settings on your phone and open it.
2. Scroll until you see Network and Internet and click on it.
3. Click on Wi-Fi.
4. Click and hold on AstateSecure until you see options to Forget or Connect to this network.
5. Click Forget.
This will successfully disconnect your device from the AstateSecure network. If you would like to reconnect, you will need to go through the above steps. These steps can also be used to Forget the Home @ Astate network if necessary. You would instead click and hold Home @ Astate and then click Forget.
Connecting to Home @ Astate
Home @ AState is the Wi-Fi network used in A-State Campus Housing. Every student living in on-campus housing should have been provided a password for this Wi-Fi network to their A-State email.
1. In the bottom right, click the time.
2. Click Not Connected.
3. Turn on Wi-Fi.
4. Tap Home @ AState.
5. Enter your password provided via email.
6. Click Connect
